Update and Scan with Ad-Aware
Start Ad-Aware. There should be an icon on the desktop or in your Start menu.
Click on the Check for updates now link above the Ad-Aware Start button.
Click on the Connect button.
Click OK to download and install the updated definition files.
After the update has completed, click Finish.
Select the option to Perform full system scan and click Next. Your system will now be scanned.
Once the scan has completed you will need to remove all objects found. Click Next.
Right-click one of the objects and click on the Select All Objects option from the menu. Click Next.
When prompted to confirm removal of objects, click OK.
Once the removal has finished you can close the Ad-Aware program. Ad-Aware should be updated and your system scanned once per week if you are a heavy Internet user.
