Update and Scan with Spybot Search & Destroy
Start Spybot Search & Destroy. There should be an icon on your desktop or in your Start menu.
Click on the Search for Updates button.
The newest updates will be listed in the window. Put a check next in the box next to EVERY UPDATE that is needed and click the Download Updates button.
When the updates finish being downloaded and installed, click on the Immunize button on the left.
This message alerts you that you are still vulnerable to some adware/spyware. Click OK.
To immunize your system from adware/spyware, click the Immunize button. When the immunization process finishes, click the Search & Destroy button.
Click the Check for problems button to scan your system.
When the scan is completed a list of the installed adware/spyware currently on your system is displayed. Make sure every box has a check in it. Click the Fix selected problems button to remove the adware/spyware from your system.
Click Yes to confirm the removal of the software. Once the removal has finished you can close Spybot.
Spybot should be updated and your system scanned once per week if you are a heavy Internet user.
