Connect to your X: drive from off-campus

To access your X: drive off-campus requires the use of an FTP program, such as Filezilla or WinSCP for Windows or Filezilla or Cyberduck for Mac OS. These programs look different but all require the same information. The information they need is:

  1. Host name (or server name): space.cord.edu
  2. Your Concordia username and password
  3. If the program supports it, you should use SFTP to encrypt your data when transferring. Make sure the port is set to 22 when using SFTP.

When you use FTP to access your files, you will NOT be able to edit them directly on the server. Rather, you will need to download the file to your computer, make the changes to the file, then upload the file back up to the server.
